Position Description: The Marketing Specialist supports Community Ed's and the Wayzata Early Learning School's communication and marketing to external and internal customers through the effective use of print, broadcast and electronic communication. The specialist develops and implements communications strategies, tactics and materials to support all Community Ed and Early Learning School programs.
Responsibilities:

Coordinates and implements the marketing plan for the Community Ed department and Wayzata Early Learning School: Coordinates with staff to provide centralized marketing of all Community Ed and Early Learning School programs and events. b. Coordinates the development, creation and distribution of all promotional materials such as brochures, catalogs, newsletters, presentations, and electronic communication. c. Coordinates production of print materials generated by the Early Learning School and Community Ed department. d. Supports the department through target marketing strategies and assists with implementing those strategies. e. Updates the Community Ed and Wayzata Early Learning School website and social media accounts as appropriate. f. Develops specific project communication plans including production schedules and budget estimates

Assists with the development, implementation and data analysis of customer feedback for program improvement.

Maintains excellent relationships with students, administrators, teachers, other staff, parents and community members for the purpose of serving as a communications liaison for schools and programs.

Writes and designs for a variety of audiences and purposes including a staff newsletter, website, marketing materials, news releases and other print materials.

Serves as the liaison to the rest of the District Communications team.

Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field is preferred. Valid driver's license required.
