Summary:
We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This role plays a key part in the day-to-day delivery of the Importer Support Program (ISP). The Marketing Specialist contributes to web and email content development, helps execute webinars, and supports marketing material development. Success in this role requires someone who works well independently, communicates with confidence, and can move fluidly across content, design, logistics, and vendor relationships.
Core Functions:
· Support the implementation of Importer Support Program (ISP) activities, including content development, marketing efforts, and webinar coordination.
· Maintain and update the trade digital platform in coordination with the manager and external vendors, ensuring content is current, well-organized, and delivers a clear, useful experience for industry users.
· Implement design changes to website and digital efforts to enhance user experience and achieve desired outcomes.
· Analyze data and reports to assess program performance and inform planning decisions.
· Develop, proofread, and update content for various platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and quality.
· Ensure website compliance with industry standards and best practices.
· Manage the timely publication of fabric and product information, ensuring industry users have accurate, accessible resources to support their sourcing and development decisions.
· Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors, programmers, and developers to enhance the technical design and capabilities of the trade digital platform.
· Support the coordination and production of marketing media assets, working with internal teams to ensure content is on-brand and aligned with key messaging.
· Plan and execute ISP webinars end to end: asset design, vendor coordination, speakers, and post-event follow-through.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for industry inquiries, managing inbound requests from the trade platform, webinars, and program-related activities with professionalism and responsiveness.
· Support, organize and maintain a properly categorized image and asset library.
Job Requirements:
· 2-4 years of experience in digital marketing, content creation, or B2B or industry marketing, ideally in textiles, apparel, or agriculture
· Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., WordPress), graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot or equivalent); experience with CRM platforms and digital asset management (DAM) systems is a plus; familiarity with AI content tools is a plus
· Familiarity with email marketing principles, including audience segmentation, list management, and basic campaign performance metrics is desirable
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail is critical
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
· Familiarity with webinar platforms is desirable
· Experience with Microsoft™ Office Suite
· Experience with Google Analytics is a plus
· Demonstrate excellent professional writing and verbal communication skills
· Collaborate and communicate effectively with outside vendors
· Perform customer-service oriented roles with professionalism
· Work creatively and adapt to target audiences
· Understand website behavior, best practices and customer experience analysis
· Demonstrate creative writing, editing and strict attention to detail
· Coordinate and conduct multiple projects simultaneously
· Work independently or within a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
· Self-motivated, dependable and responsive with a genuine curiosity for learning and a track record of following through
· This position requires domestic and international travel up to 5% of the time
Working Conditions / Physical Demands:
· General office environment with quiet to moderate noise level
· Hybrid work environment between home/remote and office
· Varied working conditions off-site due to travel
· Business casual dress clothes required
· Regularly required to sit and use hands to type and grasp, with frequent standing, walking, and bending/twisting at the neck/waist
· Occasionally required to push, pull, and reach above/below shoulder level
· Frequently required to lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds
· Frequently required to have face-to-face and telephone interaction with internal staff and external contacts
· Specific vision requirements include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
