Marketing & Storytelling Associate
Organization: Embodiment Project ()
Position Type: Part-Time Independent Contractor (15 hours/week)
Compensation: $25/hour, commensurate with experience
Start Date: November 1, 2025
Contract Period: Through June 30, 2026 (possibility of renewal)

Location & Availability
This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Marketing & Storytelling Associate must be available to attend Embodiment Project events at least once a month in San Francisco and Oakland to support documentation, interviews, and gathering content for marketing and storytelling. Work may otherwise be conducted remotely during Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.

Position Overview
The Marketing & Storytelling Associate is a key member of Embodiment Project’s small but dynamic team. This role ensures that all external communications, marketing strategies, and storytelling are clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s mission.
We are seeking someone with a deep connection and appreciation for the Bay Area dance community—someone who understands Black social dance/street dance culture, industry, and history, and who cares deeply about accurately and thoughtfully representing artists. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller eager to help document our work, amplify artists’ voices, and authentically share the impact of our programming across platforms.
