Marketing/Content Creator
The Marketing & Content Creator plays a vital role in driving our mission forward by producing high-quality, engaging content across multiple platforms. This position supports our overall marketing strategy by helping develop, design, and deliver compelling stories, visuals, and messaging that highlight our housing programs, community partnerships, volunteers, ReStore, and impact across the region. Responsibilities:
· Assist in creating and curating high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content such as blog articles, social media posts, infographics, videos, and other formats to engage our target audience.
· Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience preferences to inform content creation strategies and ensure relevance and originality.
· Collaborate with Administrative Officer to generate original written content, including blog posts, social media captions, newsletters, and website copy. Edit and proofread content for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
· Support the creation of visually appealing and shareable graphics, images, and videos using various tools and software to enhance our online presence and storytelling.
· Assist in managing and monitoring our social media channels, including scheduling posts, responding to comments and messages, and identifying opportunities for engagement and growth.
· Implement basic SEO techniques and best practices to optimize content for search engines and increase organic traffic to our platforms.
· Contribute to develop content distribution strategies across different channels, such as social media, email marketing, and external platforms, to expand our reach and attract new audiences.
· Monitor content performance using analytics tools, gather data, and provide insights on content engagement, audience demographics, and trends to improve future content strategies.
· Ensure content aligns with Habitat Int. brand guidelines, messaging, and marketing campaigns.
Requirements:
· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
· Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and contribute innovative ideas.
· Basic understanding of content marketing principles and best practices.
· Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective content formats.
· Proficiency in using content creation tools and software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software).
· Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization strategies.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
· Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and open to constructive feedback.
