Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Marriage and Family Therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans
- Provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to support clients experiencing urgent mental health issues or emergencies
- Engage in case management activities including data collection, progress tracking, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical record standards
- Maintain accurate medical documentation using CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding systems, and other relevant medical terminology for billing and clinical records
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field from an accredited program
- Valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent in the applicable state or region. Associates are welcome to apply!
- Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, and families across diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes
- Experience working within hospital or clinical research environments is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments accurately
