Job Summary
For the 2026-2027 school year, we are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maryland Certified PreK Teacher to inspire young learners and foster their early childhood development. In this vital role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, support children’s social-emotional growth, and promote a positive classroom environment. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning by nurturing curiosity, creativity, and confidence in preschool-aged children. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool children, incorporating literacy education, math, and physical education.
  • Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, social interaction, and emotional well-being
  • Manage classroom activities and behavior to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space for all students
  • Assess children’s developmental progress through observations and standardized testing; adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with families to communicate student progress, address individual needs, and support early intervention efforts
  • Incorporate special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs and promote inclusive classroom practices
  • Plan and execute age-appropriate lessons that foster early intervention skills, childhood development milestones, and foundational literacy skills

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development and classroom management techniques
  • Experience working with children across various age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers
  • Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere
  • Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom administration, tutoring techniques, and monitoring physical education activities
  • Knowledge of childcare standards, child welfare practices, daycare operations, and private school environments
  • Experience with Montessori methods or other specialized early childhood educational approaches is preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
