Mason

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining structures using bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other masonry materials. Attention to detail, quality workmanship, and safety awareness are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Prepare and lay bricks, blocks, and stones according to project specifications
• Mix and apply mortar or concrete
• Ensure walls, floors, and other structures are level, plumb, and structurally sound
• Repair damaged masonry structures
• Collaborate with construction team to meet deadlines
• Maintain tools and work area, following safety standards

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mason or similar role in construction
• Knowledge of masonry techniques and materials
• Ability to read plans and measure accurately
• Physical strength and stamina for lifting and prolonged standing
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Commitment to safety and use of PPE
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment:

• Construction sites, both indoor and outdoor
• Exposure to weather conditions, heights, and heavy materials
