Responsibilities:
Internal Combustion Engine Technician Skills
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and expertise
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
Electric Vehicle Technician Skills
- Perform routine maintenance on electric vehicles, including battery inspections, software updates, and charging system checks.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure EVs meet regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Install, repair, and replace EV components such as batteries, motors, inverters, and charging systems.
- Stay up to date on the latest advancements in EV technology and industry best practices.
- Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
- ASE certifications A1-A8 (Required or is required within 1 year of date of hire)
- Proven experience as an Automotive EV Technician
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record. (Required)
Pay: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour
