Master Automotive Technician/EV Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Master Automotive Technician/ EV Specialist who is excited about both traditional automotive repair and the rapidly growing world of Electric Vehicles (EVs).This is a unique opportunity to work in a forward-thinking shop that is actively investing in EV repair technology, advanced diagnostics, and technician development while continuing to provide top-tier service on today's vehicles.

Responsibilities:

Internal Combustion Engine Technician Skills

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and expertise
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.

Electric Vehicle Technician Skills

  • Perform routine maintenance on electric vehicles, including battery inspections, software updates, and charging system checks.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Conduct safety inspections to ensure EVs meet regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Install, repair, and replace EV components such as batteries, motors, inverters, and charging systems.
  • Stay up to date on the latest advancements in EV technology and industry best practices.
  • Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. (Required)
  • ASE certifications A1-A8 (Required or is required within 1 year of date of hire)
  • Proven experience as an Automotive EV Technician
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record. (Required)

Pay: $36.00 - $38.00 per hour
