Master Cabinet Maker and Fabricator

We’re currently seeking a full-time position as a Master Cabinet Maker and Fabricator in our Riviera Beach, Florida facility. This position is responsible for constructing fine cabinetry from raw materials to finished products utilizing detailed shop drawings, woodworking machinery, premium fabrication techniques, and high-end joinery methods. The candidate must take pride in producing premium-quality cabinetry with exceptional attention to precision and accountability for final workmanship. JOB REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE

· A minimum of 5+ years experience in fine cabinet making, with a preference given to candidates with formal training or proven experience delivering on time and budget

· Proven record of fine custom cabinetry, furniture and millwork elements working on all typical wood processing machines (sliding table saw, edge bander, jointer, planer, CNC, etc.)

· DO NOT APPLY unless you have (and can demonstrate) expert-level skills to execute the following at AWI premium level: layouts, milling, veneer work, joinery, complicated hardware, appliance panels, assembly, edge detailing, material detailing, reveal detailing, custom fabrication, application of custom mouldings, etc.

· Expert level in reviewing, interpreting and understanding complicated shop drawings independently to optimize for build-ability and install-ability

· Must have pride in craftsmanship and take ownership of work quality

· Ability to independently interpret shop drawings and translate them into precise fabrication plans, cut lists, and material requirements.

· Ability to select, prepare and verify materials for cabinetry builds

· Knowledge of different materials and build methods based on materials and ability to work with all materials

· Consistently deliver high-quality work on tight schedules

· Knowledge of AWI Premium standards is required

· Ability to mentor and teach knowledge to others without taking over the work

PROCESSES

· Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods is a plus

· Process work utilizing work orders

· Perform required incoming and outgoing quality inspections to ensure quality throughout the build process

· Excellent decision-making, planning, judgment and verbal/written/computer reporting skills

· Computer literate – able to easily work and type within Microsoft Word, Excel and other software. Must be comfortable using Apple devices.

SAFETY

· Promote and maintain safe working environment

· Practice safe working methods and wear protective clothing/gear

· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand at a workbench for up to 8 hours per day

WHAT WE OFFER

· This position starts at $33.00/hour +. Pay is market rate for the proven experience level.
