Master cutter

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cutting Master to oversee fabric cutting operations for garment production. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern interpretation, marker planning, and fabric utilization. The Cutting Master will ensure accurate cutting according to production requirements while maintaining quality standards and minimizing fabric wastage.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret patterns, measurement charts, and technical specifications.
• Plan and execute fabric cutting for bulk and custom garment production.
• Prepare markers and layouts to maximize fabric utilization.
• Check fabric quality before cutting and identify defects.
• Operate and supervise the use of cutting equipment and tools.
• Ensure all cut panels match production specifications and measurements.
• Coordinate with production, tailoring, and quality control teams.
• Monitor cutting schedules to meet production deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized cutting area.
• Train and supervise cutting assistants and helpers when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Cutting Master in the garment, fashion, or textile industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and pattern reading.
• Ability to perform accurate fabric calculations and marker planning.
• Experience with manual and/or automated cutting machines.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Fashion Design, Garment Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with uniforms, workwear, ladieswear, menswear, or customized garments.
• Knowledge of computerized pattern-making and marker software is an advantage.

Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month
