Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in electrical systems and be proficient in both commercial and industrial settings. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, schematics, and working with various electrical tools. As a Master Electrician, you will oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low/high voltage systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes.
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects to provide electrical solutions.
- Supervise apprentices or junior electricians as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician, with a focus on both commercial and industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Previous construction site experience is essential for understanding project dynamics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or licenses as required by local regulations.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
