Residential & Commercial Solar PV Installation

WHO WE ARE

We are an established solar installation company serving Central Virginia — residential and commercial solar PV systems ranging from small rooftop arrays to large-scale commercial installations for farms, businesses, and institutional clients. We have been in business for over a decade, are consistently profitable, and are growing.

Our team includes DC installation crews, AC electricians, and an operations office. We are a company where skilled tradespeople are treated professionally, compensated fairly, and given the tools and support they need to do quality work. We take pride in clean installations, strong client relationships, and a crew that shows up and performs.

We are adding a licensed Master Electrician to our team — someone who takes their craft seriously and wants to be a key contributor at a stable, growing company in one of the fastest-expanding trades in the country.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is not a helper role. This is a lead electrician position.

You will serve as the senior electrical authority on every job we run —

a role that carries real responsibility and is compensated accordingly.

You will lead all AC installation and commissioning, ensure code compliance across all electrical work, manage the permit process, own the inspection relationship with local AHJs, and help us run the most professional solar crew in Central Virginia.

You will work alongside our installation crews and report directly to senior management. Your work is visible, your contribution is measurable, and your professional reputation matters here.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Lead all AC electrical installation on residential and commercial solar PV jobs

Install and commission inverters — Enphase, SolarEdge, Solectria, Sol-Ark, and others

Install battery storage systems including AC coupling, DC coupling, and load management

Perform main panel upgrades, sub-panel work, and service upgrades as required

Pull all required electrical permits and serve as license holder of record

Pass AHJ inspections — own the inspection relationship with local building departments

Review single-line diagrams and as-builts for accuracy and code compliance

Supervise and mentor journeyman electricians and AC helpers on the crew

Ensure all work meets NEC, Virginia state code, and manufacturer requirements

Participate in weekly job planning and crew coordination

Maintain a clean, organized, fully-stocked service vehicle at all times

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required:

Active Virginia Master Electrician License — non-negotiable

Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical installation experience

Demonstrable experience with solar PV systems, inverters, or battery storage

Strong NEC knowledge and comfort working with AHJs across multiple jurisdictions

Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record

Ability to work on rooftops and at heights — comfort with ladders and pitched surfaces

Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions

Strongly Preferred:

Solar PV installation experience — residential and/or commercial

Experience commissioning Enphase, SolarEdge, Solectria, Sol-Ark, or Franklin battery systems

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Experience with Virginia utility interconnection applications

NABCEP certification or willingness to pursue

Who You Are:

A professional who takes code compliance seriously and doesn't cut corners

Someone who takes pride in clean, inspectable work — not just work that passes

A communicator who can talk to inspectors, clients, and crew members with equal confidence

Self-directed — you don't need someone managing your every move on a job site

Reliable — you show up, you're prepared, and your crew can count on you
