Job Overview
We are seeking a Hawaii Licensed Master Electrician who also holds an active Electrical Contractor License to lead and oversee electrical projects. This role involves managing installations, ensuring code compliance, supervising teams, and acting as the qualifying individual for contractor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage electrical projects from start to completion
- Act as the Responsible Managing Employee (RME) / license qualifier
- Ensure all work complies with Hawaii Electrical Code & NEC standards
- Supervise journeyman electricians and apprentices
- Review and approve electrical designs, plans, and installations
- Coordinate with inspectors, utilities (HECO), and project stakeholders
- Handle permits, inspections, and project documentation
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems and provide solutions
- Maintain safety compliance across all job sites
Required Qualifications
- Active Hawaii Master Electrician License – Required
- Active Hawaii Electrical Contractor License – Required
- Proven experience managing electrical projects and teams
- Strong knowledge of NEC and Hawaii state regulations
- Experience with permitting, inspections, and utility coordination
- Ability to act as license qualifier/RME
- Strong leadership and communication skills
