Master Painter

The Master Painter is responsible for overseeing and executing high-quality painting and finishing work across various projects. This role requires advanced technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead a team to ensure all work meets company and client standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers.
• Apply paint, varnish, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Interpret project specifications, drawings, and color schemes.
• Ensure all painting work is completed to a high standard with smooth and even finishes.
• Supervise and guide junior painters and helpers on-site.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
• Select and mix paints to achieve desired colors and textures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Estimate material requirements and report shortages or damages.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter, with several years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
