What You’ll Do:

• ️ Own the Master Schedule – Develop and manage daily & monthly production schedules across multiple shifts and lines, adapting quickly to changing customer demands.
• Drive Material Flow – Plan and monitor materials from procurement through the production cycle to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• ✉️ Communicate Like a Pro – Keep production, order management, and sales teams in the loop on all scheduling changes and order impacts.
• Minimize Waste, Maximize Efficiency – Maintain low inventory levels without compromising output or quality.
• Be the Supplier Whisperer – Build strong relationships with vendors, place timely POs, and manage compliance to ensure we always have what we need—when we need it.
• Problem Solver Extraordinaire – Identify scheduling or supplier issues, analyze root causes, and implement solutions that stick.
• Keep it Compliant – Monitor contracts, specs, and procurement rules with sharp attention to detail and accuracy.
• Record and Report – Track production progress, review KPIs, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve operations.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, scheduling, or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing contracts, planning principles, and industry best practices.
• Tech-savvy with INFOR, Excel, and data analysis tools.
• ️ Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong analytical thinking and communication skills.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective:

The Master Production Scheduler/Buyer is responsible for generating the master production plan, ensuring it meets customer demand efficiently, maintaining minimal inventory levels and procuring necessary materials to support the production plan. In this role, the master production scheduler/buyer will be responsible for providing the plant with a monthly production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast. Additionally, this role is responsible for placing purchase orders, maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, adhering to company requirements, and meeting critical deadlines to foster customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

• Create daily production schedules in support of multiple shifts and multiple lines; weekend as needed.
• Determines the impact of daily customer orders and adjusts the daily production schedule to ensure maximum order fulfillment.
• Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.
• Ensure that all relevant staff members receive the production schedule.
• Provides timely, complete, and concise communication to order management and/or production personnel regarding schedule changes or revisions that have immediate or long• range impact.
• Identifies the impact to an order's costing and/or lead time for a change requested by a customer.
• Develops and maintains effective production control requirements administering the appropriate documents to the shop floor and other departments as required.
• Maintains Kanban system (if applicable) and adjusts, as necessary, based on production requirements.
• Engage and maintain contact with production and/or order management or sales personnel, supply chain, and engineering to review and resolve schedule difficulties, new product releases, and customer needs.
• Record production progress daily.
• Understand, adhere, and demonstrate to the company's commitment to quality and safety.
• Interface positively with suppliers, internal customers, manufacturing personnel, quality, shipping/receiving, and accounts payable to foster highest customer satisfaction while adhering to company requirements and critical deadlines.
• Place purchase orders, follow up on past due order status, and report out to eliminate shortages and down time in production.
• Ensure supplier compliance to specifications, terms, conditions, and requirements of the purchase order and contract and make recommendations when non-compliance occurs
• Review bid proposals and operate within budgetary limitation and scope of authority.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support the organization.

• Exceptional computer skills using INFOR, Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, and data analytics tools.
• English and Spanish language is helpful.

• Exceptional ability to identify issues and research data for probable root cause and implementation of slid corrective actions solving the problem.

Required Education and Experience:

• B.S. in Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or similar.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain, management, or related field.
• 3-5years of experience in a supply chain role
• Experience in understanding purchasing contracts, scheduling, and planning.
• Familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
