Position Summary
At CSC, the Master’s Social Worker provides compassionate, client-centered services to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship and related life challenges. This role supports the organization’s Christ-centered mission by assessing client needs, coordinating resources, offering occasional case management, and partnering with community agencies to help neighbors meet basic needs and pursue greater stability. *
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct psychosocial or needs-based assessments of referrals from CSC front office staff and interviewers.
- Offer crisis intervention, encouragement, and appropriate supportive counseling within scope of practice.
- Develop service plans and provide case management, resource navigation, and referrals for housing, food, utilities, transportation, and other support services when appropriate.
- Support clients with follow-up appointments and progress tracking.
- Assess clients seeking rent assistance through the monthly Your Financial Freedom Course and provide related follow-up services.
- Help those after completing YFFC who desire further employment training to enhance their earning power, with a special focus on trade programs at TSTC and Cisco College.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records.
- Participate in program improvement, reporting, and community outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with churches, nonprofits, volunteers, and community partners.
- Help connect clients with spiritual support resources when appropriate and requested.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited program.
- Texas social work license required.
- Experience in case management, community-based services, crisis support, or nonprofit settings preferred.
- Knowledge of local community resources and benefits systems.
- Strong interpersonal, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work respectfully in a team environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to the mission and values of a Christ-based social service organization.
Work Environment
- Office-based role with direct client interaction but could include off-site visits.
- Regular coordination with volunteers and partner agencies.
- Supportive and flexible as employees and volunteers want to work together as a team.
- May involve emotionally complex client situations and high service volume.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
