Join our dedicated mental health team as a Master's Level Mental Health Therapist or Social Worker, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing behavioral and emotional challenges. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and Christian counseling.
- Implement applied behavior analysis techniques and behavioral health strategies to support clients with developmental or behavioral challenges.
- Manage intake processes, maintain accurate medical documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate case management activities, including home and community care planning, to facilitate holistic support for clients.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, aging issues, geriatrics, or other specialized areas as needed.
- Maintain detailed medical records, document progress notes, and ensure timely updates in electronic health record systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent in Mississippi or region.
- Experience with behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, diagnostic evaluation, and clinical counseling techniques.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and best practices for medical documentation.
- Strong skills in patient care, intake procedures, case management, and community-based services.
- Familiarity with social work principles within behavioral health settings and experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics or individuals facing aging issues.
