Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and Christian counseling.
• Implement applied behavior analysis techniques and behavioral health strategies to support clients with developmental or behavioral challenges.
• Manage intake processes, maintain accurate medical documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Coordinate case management activities, including home and community care planning, to facilitate holistic support for clients.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions focused on mental health counseling, aging issues, geriatrics, or other specialized areas as needed.
• Maintain detailed medical records, document progress notes, and ensure timely updates in electronic health record systems.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent in Mississippi or region.
• Experience with behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, diagnostic evaluation, and clinical counseling techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and best practices for medical documentation.
• Strong skills in patient care, intake procedures, case management, and community-based services.
• Familiarity with social work principles within behavioral health settings and experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics or individuals facing aging issues.
