The Pikes Peak Athletics Masters Coach is responsible for coaching PPA masters workouts and assist in setting the standard for the program. This role must have the expertise to coach all levels of adult swimmers from beginner, to adults that were formerly collegiate swimmers, to collegiate swimmers who are home on break, to triathletes, to specialty masters swimmers who may be training for unique events such as distance swimming or pentathlon. The Masters coach needs to be in tune with the needs of all of these constituents and advocate for them by communicating those needs to PPA staff and recommending programming for them.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Masters coaching preferred.
· Strong background in the swimming industry required, experience in swimming lessons and the fitness industry preferred.
· Current CPR/AED certification
· Strong communication and time management skills. Must be able to organize, plan ahead, and manage workload.
· Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, Sports Engine, and web-based software preferred.
· Customer service skills, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational with an interest in interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities and Duties
· Attend Coaches Meetings and Manager Meetings when asked and participate in discussions regarding the Masters Team.
· Meet with relevant staff from time to time to coordinate staff, training plan, and meet entries.
· Incorporate season plan to prepare masters swimmers for various events and competitions.
· Coach and sub workouts regularly (currently seeking evening and midday Friday coverage)
· Arrive on deck at least 5 minutes ahead of time to prep the workouts.
· Build in time to set up and break down the pool, computers, video, and equipment as necessary.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
