Equilibrium Physical Therapy is a boutique private outpatient Physical Therapy practice located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking a positive, highly skilled, and proactive Mat Pilates Instructor to join our growing collaborative care team as a 1099 contractor in a hybrid clinic and in-home role.

Our practice specializes in delivering a concierge-style rehabilitation and wellness experience with a strong emphasis on individualized care, patient relationships, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We work with a wide variety of patients with different rehabilitation, movement, and wellness goals in both the clinic and home setting throughout Manhattan.

We are seeking an instructor who is passionate about movement quality, wellness, and patient-centered care, and who thrives in a boutique healthcare environment.

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Provides individualized Mat Pilates sessions in both clinic and patient home settings
• Develops customized Pilates programs based on patient goals, movement quality, rehabilitation needs, and wellness objectives
• Collaborates closely with Physical Therapists and the clinical team to support continuity of care and patient outcomes
• Maintains a professional, warm, and concierge-style patient experience at all times
• Assists in promoting and growing Pilates services within the practice
• Maintains flexibility with scheduling based on patient demand, including evening availability as needed
• Saturday availability is a strong plus and compensated at a premium rate structure

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Mat Pilates certification required. Relevant licenses and certifications are subject to verification. Previous experience in a rehabilitation, wellness, women’s health, or boutique fitness environment is strongly preferred. Experience with prenatal/postpartum populations, orthopedic rehabilitation, and collaborative work alongside healthcare providers is a major plus.

A consistently upbeat attitude with an appreciation for teamwork is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ideal candidate is professional, self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about creating an exceptional patient experience in both clinic and home environments.

Compensation:

• 1099 contractor position
• Compensation provided at $75-$95/hour
• Flexible scheduling based on patient demand
• Hybrid clinic and in-home patient care throughout Manhattan
• Saturday appointments compensated at a premium rate structure
