Job Summary: The Material Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inventory management and control processes within the organization. This role involves supervising a team of material handlers and ensuring that all material handling activities are conducted efficiently and accurately. The supervisor will work closely with other departments to ensure that material availability aligns with production schedules and company needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of material handlers and inventory clerks.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to manage stock levels and avoid shortages.
  • Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to optimize material flow and ensure alignment with production schedules.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management review.
  • Address and resolve issues related to inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or other material control concerns.
  • Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and performance in material control processes.
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices in material handling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or material control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, practices, and systems.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm

Salary
$25hr-$30hr
