Material Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Material Coordinator at Calabro Cheese is responsible for efficiently managing the flow of materials within the supply chain and ensuring the seamless movement of finished products between production and the warehouse. The position plays a crucial role in guaranteeing that materials needed for production are available in the right quantity, at the right time, and of satisfactory quality. Additionally, they work closely with other team members to manage inventory and collaborate with other departments to ensure process integrity and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate in developing and implementing material planning strategies to ensure the continuous supply of inputs required for production, considering demand, seasonality, and delivery timelines.
• Supervise and, when necessary, execute inventory control, including the receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials and finished products, ensuring record accuracy and optimizing stock levels.
• Coordinate and ensure the process of moving finished products between production and warehouse areas, assuring products are properly identified, and in the correct quantity.
• Collaborate with the quality control department to ensure that received materials and products meet established quality and food safety standards.
• Work closely with immediate supervisors and team members to ensure all department activities are completed on time.
• Collaborate with purchasing, production, sales, and finance teams to synchronize material flows with production needs and market demand.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

• Academic background in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in material management, preferably in the food or dairy industry.
• Solid knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and under pressure.
