Material Crane Operator

Job Summary:

The Material Crane Operator is responsible for operating cranes and other lifting equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently within the worksite. This role ensures compliance with safety standards and proper handling of materials to support production and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes, mobile cranes, or other lifting equipment to transport materials.
• Inspect cranes and lifting gear daily to ensure safe operation.
• Follow load charts and lifting plans to prevent overloading.
• Coordinate with ground personnel for safe material movement.
• Maintain accurate records of material handling activities.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Crane operator certification (as per local regulations).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in crane operation.
• Knowledge of load calculations and rigging techniques.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
