Job Purpose
The Material cum Welding Engineer ensures material control, welding compliance, and quality during fabrication, meeting project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve material specs, MTOs, and ensure proper traceability and certification (MTCs).
- Inspect incoming materials and coordinate storage, handling, and QA/QC requirements.
- Prepare and maintain WPS, PQR, and WPQ as per project and code requirements.
- Monitor welding activities, consumables control, and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
- Support fabrication, inspection (NDT), and resolve welding-related NCRs.
- Coordinate with client, consultant, and third-party inspectors.
- Maintain complete documentation and provide progress reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8–12 years of experience in fabrication, preferably in Oil & Gas.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, and API standards.

- Strong fabrication and welding knowledge
- Good understanding of codes and drawings
- Effective coordination and communication skills
