Material cum Welding Engineer

Job Purpose
The Material cum Welding Engineer ensures material control, welding compliance, and quality during fabrication, meeting project specifications, codes, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve material specs, MTOs, and ensure proper traceability and certification (MTCs).
  • Inspect incoming materials and coordinate storage, handling, and QA/QC requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain WPS, PQR, and WPQ as per project and code requirements.
  • Monitor welding activities, consumables control, and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
  • Support fabrication, inspection (NDT), and resolve welding-related NCRs.
  • Coordinate with client, consultant, and third-party inspectors.
  • Maintain complete documentation and provide progress reports.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of experience in fabrication, preferably in Oil & Gas.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, AWS, and API standards.

Skills

  • Strong fabrication and welding knowledge
  • Good understanding of codes and drawings
  • Effective coordination and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR13,000.00 - QAR14,000.00 per month
