About The Role
The Maverick Power Receiving/Material Handler will receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verify items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may assemble and move furniture; may maintain equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities

Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.

Load and unload packages

Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.

Receive and check incoming pick tickets.

Pull material to fulfil orders properly.

Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.

Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.

Document orders, materials, and any stock movements

Ability to confidently communicate, interact and build internal and external customer relationships supporting Maverick Power’s culture.

Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.

Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.

Participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard.

maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received.

operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information.

answers phone and provide information using customer service skills.

may provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability.

may prepare or communicate with Buyer’s damage claims for supervisor’s review and signature.

may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.

High school diploma or GED

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Bonus Qualifications

Previous stock or inventory experience a plus

Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

Must be able to lift objects weighing up to (50) fifty pounds.

Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
Work Environment
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
