The Material Handler role provides efficient material movement including receiving, storing and distributing resin lots, ensuring correct placement, while maintaining safe work practices. This role reports to the Quality Control Supervisor/Manager based on location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Load and unload resin lots from delivery trucks and place them into inventory.
- Verify incoming resin lots and miscellaneous deliveries are correct per issued purchase orders and invoices.
- Verify outgoing shipments are properly packaged and loaded in accord with issued invoices and bill of ladings.
- Properly label and store resin lots in warehouse, and ensure accurate inventories are maintained.
- Palletize empty and flattened resin boxes for shipment.
- Prepare necessary valves and system controls to ensure correct placement of resin lots in bin storage.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of resin blending, loading, and handling equipment issues.
- Sample incoming resin lots in accordance with Corporate Quality Control Plan.
- Complete documentation, as required.
- Identify and bring quality concerns to the attention of the Quality Control Supervisor or Plant Manager, prior to shipment.
- Recommend system and process changes to improve product quality.
- Assist other team members, as needed.
- Focus on cross-training, continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate and support the Continuous Improvement (CI) culture.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required with a minimum of six months manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Maintain a valid state auto driver’s license with some locations requiring a CDL.
- Forklift experience preferred with the ability to achieve a forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the day & 75 pounds less than 1/3 of the day.
