Material Management Support Tech I - Day Shift

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the functionality and availability of resources within our facility.
  • Clean and maintain orderly production workspaces, including floors, carpets, walls, windows, and doors, building fixtures and equipment.
  • Learn and follow all sanitation requirements while cleaning.
  • Perform daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces, maintaining general warehouse and building Integrity.
  • Manage refuse, recycling & cardboard, used pallets, oil totes, containers, farm waste and dust collection outputs.
  • Adhere to our Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) standards, wear required PPE, and lead by example, encouraging coworkers to do the same.
  • Learn proper chemical usage- which chemicals are used in different scenarios and the sequence they are to be applied. Maintain an awareness of chemicals approved for use, and bring any unapproved chemicals to the attention of management. Understand labeling requirements and assist with maintaining chemical inventory levels.
  • Achieve an understanding of all relevant Quality SOPs, WDIs, and forms. Complete documentation for work performed, including work orders and reports. Consistently complete facility sanitation sign-off forms as required.
  • Event support, which requires assisting with the set-up and break-down of events.

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and equipment; general knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP’s).
  • Consistently good attendance and punctuality.
  • Well organized and pay close attention to detail.
  • Forklift Certified or ability to become forklift certified.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively within a culturally diverse environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to changes.
  • Safe and effective use of hand and power tools.

Education/Experience:

  • Some experience in janitorial, construction, building maintenance or related trades.
  • Able to read, comprehend and execute written instructions and documentation forms.
