Material Manager - Medical Consumables

1. Medical OPEX Procurement

• Handle end-to-end procurement of pharma items, surgical consumables, disposables, OT & ICU consumables, lab supplies, and other operational items.
• Raise purchase requests and purchase orders based on consumption and stock levels.
• Ensure uninterrupted availability of critical consumables across departments.
• Coordinate with Pharmacy, Nursing, OT, ICU, Lab, and Central Stores for requirement planning.

2. Vendor & Rate Management

• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with medical consumable vendors.
• Maintain vendor database and ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Analyze price trends and secure cost-effective procurement while ensuring quality.
• Ensure compliance with hospital procurement policies.

3. Analytics, Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly OPEX consumption reports.
• Analyze consumption trends, stock movement, and usage patterns.
• Prepare budget vs. actual reports for management.
• Maintain dashboards for high-value, high-consumption, and non-moving items.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify wastage, pilferage, or abnormal usage.

4. Inventory Coordination

• Work closely with stores to manage buffer stock levels.
• Ensure timely replenishment to avoid stockouts.
• Track expiry, batch numbers, and quality-related issues.
• Support internal audits with documentation and data.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of medical consumables, surgical items, and pharma products.
• Good at Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Data Cleaning, Basic Charts).
• Strong analytical ability and understanding of OPEX cost control.
• Good communication skills for vendor management and internal coordination.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple urgent requirements.

Preferred Background

• Experience in Hospitals, Diagnostic Centers, Medical Colleges, or Medical Supply Companies.
• Prior exposure to Medical OPEX procurement is mandatory.
• Candidates with local background preferred for better vendor coordination.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
