Summary: The Materials Planner is responsible for interfacing between sales, procurement, and manufacturing by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Manages significant projects and major assignments for the organization in correlation with cost analysis for materials, customer orders, establishing pricing and monitoring workflow of customer orders.

2. Coordinates between sales, procurement, and production to ensure accurate and efficient material planning.*

3. Responsible to manage created customer orders and work with purchasing to ensure accuracy of purchase orders and track for efficient timelines and/or issues.

4. Manages and controls kitting parts for production and improving efficiencies through planning and organization improvements.*

5. Manages product billing of materials (BOM) management and inventory controls related to material usage, cost accounting, and disposal.*

6. Enters and maintains sales orders and work orders in company software per processes.*

7. Responsible to ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.*

8. Tracks production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.*

9. Manages and controls the organizations inventory for issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.*

10. Maintains independent judgement to analyze and interpret short and long-term forecast requirements utilizing the production schedule.*

11. Responsible to create SOPS and Work Instruction to ensure a self-sustaining MRP, including monitoring and follow up with related departments.*

12. Monitors created SOPs during production for each customer order to ensure accuracy and that steps are followed for timely completion.

13. Works with purchasing and sales to improve inventory turnover, to monitor and control any financial impact on the organization.

14. Works with operations to ensure inventory levels and counts are accurate.*

15. Other duties as assigned.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Office products, Sage, and MISys.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specialized Training:

· Experience in supply chain, manufacturing, and fulfillment

· Proficient in detailed parts management and organization processes

· Experience with inventory management systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
