Material Planner

Day Shift - 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Rate: $20 - $21/hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Material Planner to write work orders based on customer demand, follow jobs in progress and effectively communicate with purchasing, manufacturing and customers in order to assure timely production and delivery of manufactured parts.

MATERIAL PLANNER - A supply chain professional managing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production schedules and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Job Duties:

• Predicting future material needs based on production schedules and business forecasts.
• Monitoring stock levels to ensure there are enough materials without having excessive inventory.
• Working with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
• Ensuring that materials are available when needed to support production operations.
• Identifying and resolving supply chain issues, shortages, and disruptions.

Essential Skills:

• To interpret data, forecast needs, and identify trends.
• To liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams, like Ford Motor Co.
• Expertise with inventory management systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environment
• Able to read a print
• Detail ordinated
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Excel
• Able to multitask

This position is contract to hire after 30-60 days

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
