1. Material Forecasting & Planning
- Review work orders, BOMs, and job scopes to identify material requirements.
- Forecast material needs for routine maintenance, corrective jobs, and shutdowns.
- Prepare material plans aligned with project schedules and maintenance priorities.
- Identify long‑lead items and initiate early procurement actions.
2. SAP Material Management
- Create and update material reservations, PRs, and material availability checks in SAP MM/PM.
- Monitor PR/PO status and follow up with procurement for timely delivery.
- Ensure all material codes, descriptions, and specifications match SABIC standards.
- Track GRN, stock levels, and material movement in SAP.
3. Coordination with Procurement & Warehouse
- Coordinate with procurement for RFQs, vendor follow‑ups, and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with warehouse teams for receiving, inspection, and staging of materials.
- Ensure proper storage, tagging, and binning of materials.
- Resolve material discrepancies, shortages, and quality issues.
4. Shutdown / Turnaround Material Readiness
- Prepare complete shutdown material lists and readiness reports.
- Ensure all critical materials are available before execution.
- Support field teams during shutdown for material issuance and tracking.
- Maintain real‑time updates on material shortages and alternatives.
5. Inventory Optimization
- Monitor stock levels, slow‑moving items, and obsolete materials.
- Recommend stock replenishment, safety stock levels, and material rationalization.
- Conduct periodic inventory audits and reconciliation.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily/weekly material readiness reports.
- Maintain material tracking sheets, shortage lists, and delivery logs.
- Ensure compliance with SABIC safety, quality, and material handling procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Supply Chain / Logistics.
- 2–5 years experience in material planning (preferably in petrochemical or SABIC environment).
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM/PM.
- Familiarity with SABIC material codes, specifications, and warehouse procedures.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in shutdown/turnaround material planning.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, QA/QC material documentation.
- Ability to read technical drawings, BOMs, and engineering specifications.
- Strong coordination, follow‑up, and analytical skills.
