Material Prep and Installation Associate

We are seeking a versatile Material Prep and Installation Associate to join our warehouse team. In this hybrid role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for a full range of warehouse duties in handling and processing engineered hardwood products and associated hardware to ensure efficient operations, for timely readiness for installation; combined with installing wire storage solutions in homes. Wire installs entail a combination of measuring, designing, cutting, preparing and installing wire material in the home. In addition, it's possible for this associate to assist in installing solid systems alongside our master craftsmen.

The Material Prep and Installation Associate position is a full-time position which provides on-the-job training You must have basic carpentry skills, be motivated, and willing to work hard.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving/moving/handling material to prepare individual projects to go out the door.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work space.
  • Help load outgoing projects into vans.
  • Ability to execute design plans to exact specifications with minimal error.
  • Friendly, respectful, and composed in high-end residential environments.
  • Resourceful in handling unexpected challenges or on-site adjustments.
  • Communicates clearly and works well with others to meet shared goals.
  • Takes full responsibility for quality of work, punctuality, and preparedness.
  • Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Willing to learn, improve, and adopt new processes or techniques.
  • Install wire storage solutions in the home including closets, pantries, and more.

Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of simple warehouse operations.
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Good organizational skills and efficient time management skills.
  • Ability to use a tape measure and consistently cut material accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work standing on concrete for 8 hour shifts regularly.
  • Ability to lift 50-80 pounds throughout the day.
  • Steady, reliable attendance.

Experience:

  • Previous experience receiving/moving/preparing material preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy to keep pace
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Light carpentry skills a plus
  • Math, measuring, cutting experience - required.
  • One year in construction.

Must be able to pass a criminal and driving background check.
Employment contingent on passing an employment fit-for-duty physical.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm

Annual Compensation: $49,920

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
