JOB SUMMARY

STMW Manufacturing, an ISO 9001:2015 certified semiconductor manufacturer, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Purchaser & Expeditor to support our production and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, maintaining supplier relationships, expediting orders, and ensuring on-time delivery of critical components to support manufacturing schedules.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively with vendors, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchasing
• Source and procure raw materials, components, tooling, and supplies based on MRP requirements.

Expediting

• Track open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proactively follow up with suppliers to confirm shipment status.
• Resolve delays, backorders, and supply chain disruptions.
• Communicate material status updates to production, planning, and management.
• Coordinate with receiving and quality teams regarding incoming materials.

Compliance & Quality

• Ensure suppliers meet STMW Manufacturing quality and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Support supplier evaluations and performance tracking.
• Assist with corrective actions related to supplier issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and records.

Issue purchase orders and ensure accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with approved suppliers.
• Maintain and update supplier records in ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and planning teams to prevent shortages or excess.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.

· 2+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (semiconductor experience preferred).

· Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

· Strong understanding of production planning and inventory control.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 processes.
• Experience working with precision machining or semiconductor components.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
