Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, front loader trucks, roll-off trucks, and garbage trucks to handle waste and recyclable materials efficiently.
• Load and unload materials using appropriate machinery, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed during heavy lifting tasks.
• Collect, sort, and process recyclable materials in accordance with company policies and environmental standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing routine cleaning tasks and sanitation procedures to promote a safe environment.
• Assist with waste removal activities by managing roll-off containers and ensuring timely disposal or recycling of materials.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during heavy equipment operation and waste handling.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, or garbage trucks is highly preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes or waste management procedures is a plus.
• Strong understanding of sanitation practices and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and waste handling.
• Excellent attention to detail for sorting recyclables accurately and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Valid certifications for forklift operation or heavy equipment operation are advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
