Material Runner

Job Overview

Newman Roofing is hiring a dependable Material Runner to support daily roofing operations. This role is responsible for safely transporting materials, assisting job supervisors, and assisting the Production department with day to day operations. Must be a safe, responsible driver with a valid license and clean driving record.

This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our Sunbury, OH office. A company vehicle is provided for travel to job sites throughout Central Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive company vehicles to deliver materials, tools, and supplies to job sites
• Load, unload, and stage materials to support efficient project flow
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, crews, and office staff
• Use mobile apps to receive assignments, track deliveries, and update statuses
• Assist with general warehouse organization and additional tasks as needed
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

Qualifications

• Safe, responsible driver with a valid license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
• Basic proficiency with smartphones and mobile apps
• Ability to lift and carry 80+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to assist wherever needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
