Material Specialist

At Artisan/Carolina Closets, we specialize in transforming spaces and lives through custom closet and storage solutions. We’re looking for a talented Material Specialist to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Material Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Receiving/Shipping, Inventory, and distribution of materials to support the Production and Install process. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that materials are available when needed and at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping/Receiving:
• Confirm PO and Delivery accuracy.
• Confirm Material availability to ensure on time installs in full.
• Distribute paperwork to Purchasing Department
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Material Ordering:.
• Develop and maintain material minimums and maximums.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and specifications before use in production.
• Address any quality issues with Managers and work towards resolution.
• Order Processing:
• Work with Processing to ensure timely order distribution to all departments.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in materials management, Shipping and Receiving, or supply chain roles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills..
• Excellent communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move materials as needed (if applicable).
• Willingness to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $15 - $18 depending on experience
• Bonus/Commission Structure (if applicable): [Monthly quality bonus per requirements
• M-F -- 8 to 4 pm
