Material Supply Assistant Manager

We are looking for the right individual to provide administrative and operational support for the Material Supply Manager. This position coordinates with the Material Supply Manager and other operational managers to achieve departmental and multi-departmental goals. It requires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through email/text with internal and external customers to achieve common goals and contribute to the success of the company and our customers. This position will demonstrate adherence to all company and departmental policies and procedures, and encourage or instruct other employees to do the same. It will utilize existing processes and systems, and assist in the development and implementation of new or revised processes, systems, and procedures. Aids in training and instructing employees in non-driving tasks, such as, but not limited to, FMCSA regulations, company policies and procedures, quality control standards and procedures, and customer service practices.

This position could require evenings, nights, occasional weekends, or over 40 hours in a week. This position will include working outdoors, sometimes in inclement weather. It will require working with various municipalities, and meeting safety standards, ASTM specifications, and following laws and regulations.

The right individual for this position MUST have the following qualifications:

  • A valid Driver’s license
  • Be between 21-75 years of age (Over 70 requires an acceptable annual letter of health from a registered doctor or their representative)
  • No more than five (5) Minor Violations in the past thirty-six (36) months
  • No more than one (1) at fault accident in the past thirty-six (36) months
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A commitment to performing quality work while putting safety first
  • A strong sense of personal responsibility
  • Be a team player
  • The ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time
  • The ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50+ pounds) and perform strenuous physical labor, occasionally in adverse conditions

Candidates with any of the following qualifications will be given priority:

  • Knowledge of or experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of the transportation industry, logistics, and regulations
  • 3 years or more experience in construction, transportation, logistics, dispatching/scheduling, or a related field
  • Ability to determine requirements to do a job
  • Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or similar software
  • Ability to read and comprehend material specifications, engineering standards, and other technical publications
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
