Materials Engineering

We are seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Materials Engineering to join our laboratory team. The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of laboratory and field testing procedures, concrete and asphalt mix designs, and international standards such as ASTM and BS.

Key Responsibilities:

Examine the new samples and supervise the lab tests on (Soil, Aggregate, Concrete, Asphalt, Steel, Water, Masonry Blocks and Paving units).

Ensures that tests are carried with integrity, accuracy and compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Ensure the compliance with the national and international standards in all testing and reporting (ASTM, BS, SASO, and AASHTO)

Maintain materials testing equipment is repaired, calibrated, and functioning in good condition.

Get the test results from the lab supervisor, calculates and checks the test results and assists in the preparation of the reports.

Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis, mix design calculations, and reporting.

Prepare concrete or asphalt mix designs.

Carries out structural evaluation (concrete and pavement) and non-destructive testing on site.

Reviews final test reports as directed by the Head of material testing division.

Provide timely, accurate service in response to the Head of material testing division requests.

Assist in the development of the Quality Management System of the company
