Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Materials / Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team. In this vital role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of materials, coordinate transportation and warehouse activities, and ensure seamless supply chain operations. Schedule

Mon-Fri 40 hours per week (Overtime when needed) On Site position in Upper Sandusky, OH - Full Time, Contract for 10+months

Qualify for per diem if you live over 45 minutes from site

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing purchasing activities to secure quality materials at competitive prices.
• Coordinate transportation planning and logistics, utilizing transportation management systems (TMS) and freight management tools to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs.
• Conduct root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions or inventory discrepancies, implementing process improvements to prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of piping materials and must be able to ensure materials are received/staged and issued to the correct individuals for installation utilizing word and excel to manage inventory.
• Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or logistics coordination with a strong understanding of materials management principles.
• Familiarity with procurement processes, category management, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating across departments and negotiating with suppliers.
