The role you'll contribute:

Under general supervision, the Lead, Materials Management is responsible for assisting and supporting the surgical department for all supply / materials functions. Responsibilities include generating requisitions for special orders, tracking and receiving specific assigned non-stock items, managing inventory and adjusting par levels when necessary. Responsible for processing and oversight of all repairs. Assists with the departments capital equipment process. Reviews reports and data related to supplies and charges to ensure accuracy and completeness. Contributes to development of action plans for supply cost savings and management.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Takes the initiative in maintaining high standards and quality in the facilitation of cost savings and containment.
• Collaborates with department leadership and operating room specialty coordinators on a regular basis to review unit monthly budget cost per case analysis and department requests.
• Acts as a liaison between departments regarding orders, cost center discrepancies and various material management issues. Monitors access into surgical services for vendors.
• Assists and oversees that the department DPC (Suncare) maintenance is maintained. Maintains unit Price File information, working with management team on price file issues, cost per case analysis and ensures that departmental charge sheets are updated. Analyzes and corrects the department JE Detail Report to ensure correct cost centers and are within the monthly budget guidelines.
• Works with AdventHealth material management to ensure that all department inventory stock supplies have the appropriate MPC numbers. Works with leadership to set and maintain par levels for inventory.

• Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements.
