Administers an effective and efficient production control and inventory management program to ensure that plant output schedules and budgets are met. Responsibility scope included scheduling, warehousing, logistics, receiving, shipping, customer service team, with some offsite responsibilities. Leading, coaching, and mentoring the materials team is integral to success while complying with the provisions of the ISO-9001 quality standards and our safety and environmental management systems.
DUTIES

Responsible for overseeing and managing Production Scheduling, Customer Service Supervisor/team, and Warehousing/Logistics Supervisor.

Responsible for coaching, mentoring, leading, and developing their department to achieve the highest level of achievement and motivation.

Monitor and Manage inventory levels for raw, WIP, and finished goods to support metrics and commitments.

Responsible for achieving Material department committed metrics

Responsible for leading and encouraging innovation along with continuous improvement projects within the materials department while supporting other plant initiatives.

Responsible for ensuring development and accurate forecast for material related metrics.

Manage Marlite’s slow moving and obsolete inventory initiatives

Lead and be viewed as operational subject matter expert in local ERP system with report development and data integrity.

Manage cycle-count processes and lead annual physical inventory initiatives

Responsible for submission and generation of various data and performance related requirements to corporate and plant.

CLIMATE
Incumbent works with minimal supervision performing routine duties. Use of own judgment is essential in making decisions on schedules to meet customer demand and inventory integrity. Interaction with other departments is required to manage all variables associated with changing environmental requirements of daily business.
ADDITIONAL DUTY CLARITY
· Responsible for overseeing production schedules, receiving, shipping, warehouse, and logistics.
Review scheduling, receiving, and shipping activities to ensure communication is present and the affected parties have a clear understanding and articulation of the requirements and are successful.
· Responsible for ensuring development and accurate forecast for material related metrics.
Using ERP and other related input information/files are used and are accurate for communication of information.
· Responsible for coaching, mentoring, leading, and developing their department to achieve the highest level of achievement and motivation.

Encourage and motivate others in the department to implement continuous improvement and innovative ideas to advance the plant and organization.
· Responsible for allocating resources and providing company directions to their department.
· Responsible for submission and generation of various data and performance related requirements to corporate and plant expectations.
Monitor resource needs, both inside and outside the materials department and ensure human resources are provided that will support value add activities. Review opportunities that will provide benefit to the company that requires capital expense or money to advance the facility or department.
Ensure metrics are completed, accurate, and loaded correctly for presentation and provide clarification as needed.

Traits
WORKING CONDITIONS
The job works in good conditions primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure (10%-30%) to noise, odors, dust drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature fluctuations, hazardous substances, etc. Occasional overnight travel required.
