Materials/Soils Laboratory Technician

Independent geotechnical laboratory in Lakewood seeking motivated lab technician. Responsibilities include performing aggregate, concrete, and soil testing in accordance with standardized ASTM, AASHTO or company methods and procedures. Candidate will be required to gain certifications within the first year of employment. Candidates must be willing to travel in and around the Metro area to perform field testing.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Materials and/or soils background/coursework helpful, but not required
• Experience working within a Quality Management Program helpful, but not required
• Strong desire to learn and willingness to gain certifications
• Strong work ethic
• Willingness to take direction from supervisors, learn from mistakes and continually work at being better
• Willingness to clean up after yourself
• Works well with others and enjoys being a team player
• Attention to detail
• Good written and oral skills
• Basic math skills, ability to calculate percentages, ratios and perform conversions
• After training, willingness to work-on, maintain and calibrate equipment
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft products
• Clean driving record and willingness to perform field work
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends, when needed
• Physically able to perform daily tasks such as continuous standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 60 lbs.

Experience:

No experience required. We are willing to train those candidates that show the right character, work ethic and desire for long term advancement within ATT.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
