Math and ELA Tutor (Christian School – Grades K-5)

Capital Region Tutors, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Christian educator with a strong background in Math and English Language Arts (ELA) to provide on-campus tutoring services for lower school students at Christ's Church Academy for the 2026-2027 school year.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while partnering with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

• Passionate about helping children build academic skills and confidence
• Knowledgeable in Math and ELA
• Experienced in teaching, tutoring, or working with students
• Organized, dependable, and self-motivated
• A strong communicator who works well with teachers, parents, and administrators
• Available during school hours, Monday through Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Math, Education, English, Reading, or a related field
• Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience
• Relevant business or professional experience demonstrating strong Math and/or ELA skills
• Experience working with elementary-age students

Responsibilities

• Meet with school administrators to develop tutoring schedules
• Coordinate tutoring sessions with classroom teachers
• Plan and deliver engaging 30-minute tutoring sessions
• Monitor and document student progress
• Communicate student successes and concerns with teachers and parents
• Collect payment from families and submit commission reports weekly
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with school staff and families

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling during school hours
• Availability between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Monday through Friday during the school year
