Responsibilities

  • Design and implement customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs across various levels of math and physics education.
  • Deliver clear, engaging instruction in subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, differential equations, trigonometry, physics, organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, anatomy, physiology, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, data structures, machine learning, statistics, and more.
  • Utilize learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, assignments, and discussions; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to maximize understanding.
  • Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom dynamics effectively and encouraging active participation.
  • Support students with special education needs or early childhood education requirements by applying appropriate teaching techniques.
  • Maintain detailed records of tutoring sessions, student progress reports, and lesson plans to ensure consistent quality and accountability.
  • Collaborate with parents or guardians when necessary to communicate student achievements and areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching math and physics at various educational levels; classroom experience is highly valued.
  • Strong knowledge of core subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus (including differential equations), trigonometry, physics (including anatomy and physiology), organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, electrical engineering principles, mechanical engineering concepts, data structures in computer science, machine learning fundamentals, statistics, chemical engineering topics, early childhood education techniques (including preschool experience), special education strategies, and higher education teaching methods.
  • Excellent curriculum development skills with the ability to create engaging lesson plans aligned with academic standards.
  • Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for remote or hybrid instruction.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Computer literacy including familiarity with educational software and online collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics or virtual learning environments confidently.

Pay: $20.00 - $120.00 per hour
