Math & Reading Academic Coach (K–12) – Hialeah, FLJoin the Amigos Tutoring Team

Amigos Tutoring is seeking dedicated, bilingual Academic Coaches to join our Hialeah location. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with students, making a positive impact in their community, and helping children build the academic skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Since 2015, Amigos Tutoring has helped thousands of students throughout South Florida improve their academic performance through personalized instruction, mentorship, and a supportive learning environment. Our small-group tutoring model allows coaches to provide individualized attention while fostering meaningful student growth.

About the Hialeah Center

Our Hialeah location serves a diverse population of K–12 students, including many ESOL learners who benefit from bilingual academic support. As an Academic Coach, you will play a vital role in helping students strengthen their English language skills while improving in core academic subjects.

We are looking for patient, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals who can create a welcoming and encouraging environment for both students and families.

Responsibilities

• Lead small-group tutoring sessions with up to 4 students
• Support students in math, reading, language development, and other core academic subjects
• Follow our structured curriculum and instructional systems
• Build positive relationships with students and families
• Create a focused, engaging, and productive learning environment
• Encourage student confidence, participation, and academic growth
• Support students through positive reinforcement and individualized attention

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing required)
• Available Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
• Comfortable working with K–12 students from diverse backgrounds
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the Hialeah location
• Seeking a long-term position and willing to commit to a 12-month agreement
• High school juniors, seniors, college students, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply

Preferred Experience

• Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, teaching, or childcare experience
• Experience working with bilingual students or English language learners
• Background in youth programs, education, psychology, or related fields
• Passion for helping students succeed academically and personally
