Math Instructor

Instructors (Contract)

We are a team of highly motivated, young professionals running an established after-school math enrichment program seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and growth-oriented instructors to teach elementary students (Grades 1–6).

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop her/his professional and teaching skills while working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Training will be provided.

Instructors must be able to teach 2 or more grade levels and be willing to work at least 15 hours a week including Saturday. We are specifically looking for individuals who are consistent, dependable, and committed for the long term (full academic year preferred). Our instructors take ownership of student outcomes, contribute to improving the program, and build strong relationships with students and families.

What You’ll Do

• Deliver high-quality math instruction aligned with weekly learning objectives (in-person and/or online)
• Prepare for lessons through weekly material reviews and classwork videos
• Create a structured, engaging, and positive classroom environment
• Foster a learning mindset by encouraging curiosity and participation within the classroom
• Track student progress and provide thoughtful feedback
• Build strong relationships with students to support confidence and growth
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and time discipline
• Proactively identify ways to improve lessons, student engagement, and outcomes
• Collaborate with the team and contribute ideas to strengthen the program

Basic Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Prior experience working with children (teaching/tutoring preferred)
• Ability to teach at least 2 grade levels (Grades 1–6)
• Availability for minimum 15 hours/week including Saturdays
• Ability to commute to one of our locations Bellevue, WA (Primary) or Bothell, WA (as needed)
• We prioritize candidates who are able to commit for at least one academic year.

• Conduct a paid demo lesson to determine mutual fit

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
