Duties

• Deliver interactive live math lessons tailored to K-12 students, ensuring clarity and engagement.
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning needs and educational standards.
• Utilize advanced learning technology platforms to facilitate virtual classrooms, assessments, and student progress tracking.
• Provide personalized tutoring and support to help students overcome challenges in areas such as differential equations, organic chemistry, microbiology, or genetics.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate data structures, problem-solving strategies, and real-world applications.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively in a virtual setting while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Assess student understanding through quizzes, assignments, and discussions; provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of mathematics including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, statistics, discrete math, and differential equations.
• Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for K-12 education levels.
• Proficiency with learning technology platforms and digital tools used for online teaching.
• Excellent tutoring skills with the ability to work with children and adolescents across various age groups.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques suitable for virtual environments.
• Solid computer skills including familiarity with data structures, programming basics in computer science or machine learning is a plus.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly in both one-on-one tutoring and group settings; experience in higher education teaching or adult education is advantageous.
• Knowledge of special education needs and accommodations for diverse learners is preferred.
• Background in STEM fields such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, biochemistry or physiology enhances instructional versatility.

Pay: $21.37 - $23.45 per hour
