Math, SAT, and ACT Tutor (In-person + Part-time)

1stChoice Tutors is looking for a qualified Math tutor to support students at our East Cobb, Marietta location in-person.

The candidate must be proficient in tutoring at least up to Pre-Calculus. (Calculus and SAT and or ACT prep is a huge plus!)

The candidate must be a subject matter expert (ready to tutor Math from day 1) and must have experience working with students in a tutoring or classroom environment.

Responsibilities:

• Tutor Math 1-on-1 and in a small group setting
• Administer diagnostic evaluations to establish baseline scores for students
• Create customized learning plans and study material to help students learn
• Measure and track students' progress and give parents feedback

Qualifications:

• Subject Matter Expert in Math (candidate must have excelled in higher-level Math courses). A Bachelors Degree and/or a teaching certification is a huge bonus!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great servant-leadership traits
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate students.
