Job Summary
Hi there! I’m the founder of a small but mighty online tutoring company dedicated to helping middle schoolers build confidence, conquer math anxiety, and actually enjoy learning. We're growing, and that’s where you come in!

This isn’t your typical tutoring gig. We’re all about real connection, creativity, and making learning feel exciting. If you’re someone who lights up when a student finally “gets it,” you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

Duties

• Teach and/or co-teach small-group or 1:1 online math sessions for middle school students (Grades 6–8)
• Run drop-in help sessions where students pop in with homework questions or tricky problems. You’ll be their go-to math guide!
• Bring energy and empathy to each session, making math fun and accessible
• Follow a core structure while adding your own spark to lessons
• Build relationships with students
• Provide brief follow-up notes or messages to parents after each session, sharing how it went and what was covered
• Collaborate with me (your fellow math-nerd-in-crime) on curriculum and creative strategies

What We're Looking For:

One of the following is required:

A valid teaching credential OR a degree in math, education, or a related field with strong tutoring/teaching experience

• A solid foundation in middle school math: fractions, ratios, decimals, expressions, equations, and more
• Confidence in live problem-solving during drop-in sessions
• Clear, warm, student-centered teaching style
• Tech comfort you’ll be teaching via Zoom
• Friendly, flexible communicator
• Available at least 2–4 hours per week (with potential to grow!)
