Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Math Teacher to inspire students and foster a love for mathematics across diverse grade levels. Duties

• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design principles and modern learning technology tools
• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive activities that make complex mathematical concepts accessible and enjoyable
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, quizzes, projects, and tutoring sessions to ensure mastery of topics such as algebra, calculus, differential equations, and geometry
• Provide individualized support and mentoring to students needing extra help or special education accommodations
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, research initiatives, and educational best practices
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and instructional activities for administrative reporting
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to scientific research methods, instructional design, and the integration of new teaching technologies
• Agree with the school’s statement of faith and provide a classroom environment that adheres to school’s mission.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience teaching mathematics at the middle school or high school level is required; private school experience is preferred
• Demonstrated expertise in a broad spectrum of math topics including algebra, geometry, calculus, trigonometry, discrete math, and molecular biology-related applications
• Familiarity with laboratory experience involving dissection techniques or microbiology enhances instructional versatility
• Proven ability to develop curriculum content that incorporates genetics, cell biology, microbiology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and research laboratory skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse learners
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and assessment strategies for measuring student achievement in math-related subjects
• Experience working with students with special needs or implementing Montessori or behavior management techniques is a plus
• Proficiency in using library services for research purposes and supporting academic advising initiatives
