Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher to inspire and educate students across various grade levels. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, from foundational algebra to advanced calculus and geometry. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design principles and learning technology tools.
  • Teach a broad range of mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, differential equations, and molecular biology as applicable.
  • Develop assessments for standardized testing preparation and evaluate student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, collaboration, and respectful communication among students.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Mentor students individually or in groups, providing academic advising and tutoring to support diverse learning needs, including special education students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and research initiatives to enhance educational quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or higher education teaching experience preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience with strong classroom management skills and the ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical disciplines such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, organic chemistry (if applicable), biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, cell biology, molecular biology, and scientific research methods.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology tools and learning management systems to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts and provide constructive feedback.
  • Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, proofreading educational materials, and designing assessments for standardized testing.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners including those in special education or private school settings; experience with Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience in research laboratory settings or research environments is advantageous.
